I took a very long blogging vacay so I could sort of step back and take some time to reflect on what I wanted out of this blog. When I started it {almost 4 years ago!} I used it as a virtual "baby book" of sorts and I still find it extremely useful because my memory is horribly messed up and I when I can't remember when Bray rolled over or something, I can go back and check.
I never meant to have a ton of followers or have anyone other than my mother actually read the blog, but then I got a few followers and I got really pumped about it. Then I would wonder why I wasn't getting more of a following and why I wasn't getting comments and every damn day I was checking my stats and stressing out about them and after 4 years of torment, I needed to step away.
But then, I missed it.
I missed documenting things, and I missed typing out our story when hilarious things happened. Occasionally I would think about blogging about something that was happening, but then I would remember I stopped and get a little sad.
So last night when I was hopped up on Green Tea {do not drink before bed} I had all of these awesome ideas for the blog: A face lift, a new hook, a new direction. I started thinking about the blogs that I get a kick out of {I'll share them in a bit} and I decided to start again.
Why not?
So while I'm not going to try and stress out about my comments and/or followers OR the little bloggers who started after me and have a SHITTON more followers, I'm going to get back into a groove!
